Built around construction work.
Construction workflows
Daily reports by phone, bid coverage, COI checks, crew dispatch and sub confirmations are part of the Platform.
An AI teammate on the line
Brody answers and makes calls, texts and emails on your number, and says he is an AI assistant on every call.
Records that update themselves
Daily logs, COI status, contacts and schedule notes are written to Procore, Vista, SharePoint and more.
Field and subs included free
Foremen, crews, subs and suppliers work with Brody by call or text on any phone, with no app and no charge.
Every crew’s language
Brody calls and texts each person in the language they prefer and writes the record in yours.
Your choice of where it runs
Run in our cloud, in a private cloud or with the AI on your own servers.
The office and the field
Your phone system rings the right desk. Brody also calls the sub who has not confirmed Monday.
Most business phone systems connect people to people. Brody does that, and also runs the follow up a project team does all day. He confirms starts, takes dailies, follows up on certificates and posts what he did in the job channel.
How the phone system worksWhen RingCentral may fit better.
RingCentral may be the better choice if you are not in construction, only need office calling and meetings, or depend on a feature that is not on our published list.
You are not in construction
Brody is built around jobs, crews, subs and construction records. A general business phone platform may suit other industries better.
You only need office calling
If your team works at desks and has no field, sub or record workflows to run, a general phone system may be all you need.
You are mid contract
Keep your current phones and start Brody on one workflow next to them. Move the main number later, or not at all.
You need something we do not list
If your company depends on a phone feature that is not on our published list, check with both vendors before you switch.
Switching
How do you move off RingCentral? One step at a time.
Your main number moves only after every check passes on your real setup. Until then, Brody runs next to the phones you have.
Start next to your current phones
Brody begins on a new number or with call forwarding for one workflow, such as daily reports or bid coverage. Nothing changes for your office yet.
Test on your real setup
Before the main number moves, we test calling, routing, transfers, voicemail, existing phones and the browser workspace, texting, internal calling, project channels, meetings, fallback and emergency calling with your team.
Port the number
When every check passes, your main number is ported. Caller ID keeps showing your company name.
Migration is part of setup
No setup fee. Standard onboarding includes your company number, normal messaging registration, a standard roster import, released connector setup and two 45-minute assisted sessions for your first two supported workflows.
Office users and field users
Office phone access is included in each paid operating user. There is no separate office-seat surcharge. Each user contributes to the company calling pools.
Does RingCentral have an AI receptionist?
Yes. RingCentral AI Receptionist answers and routes calls, handles questions, books appointments and captures leads. It starts at $49 per month standalone or $39 as a RingEX add-on, with 100 minutes included. Extra minutes are $0.50 each, billed in 30-second increments. Brody adds construction follow up and job-record updates.
What about video meetings, webinars and events?
Both platforms cover video meetings. RingCentral also sells Webinar for town halls and training, and Events for branded webinars, registration and larger events. Use your existing webinar or event platform alongside Brody while he handles construction calls, texts and follow up.
What is the main difference between Brody and RingCentral?
RingCentral is a business phone and video platform for many industries. Brody includes the office phone system too, and adds an AI teammate who answers and makes calls, texts and emails with your subs, crews and suppliers and writes the results to your job records.
When is RingCentral the better choice?
When you are not in construction, when your team only needs office calling and meetings, or when you rely on a phone feature that is not on our published list. If you are mid contract, you can keep RingCentral and start Brody on one workflow next to it.
Can we move our numbers from RingCentral to Brody?
Yes. Your main number and direct lines can be ported once every test on your real setup passes. Until then, Brody runs on a new number or with forwarding, and RingCentral keeps ringing.
Does RingCentral update Procore or Vista?
Check RingCentral’s current integrations list for construction tools, since it changes over time. Brody writes daily logs, COI status, contacts and schedule notes to Procore, Vista, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint and OneDrive as part of the Platform.
How do the prices compare for a 25 person contractor?
Buildalytic with 25 paid operators costs $2,475 per month, or $2,225 per month billed as $26,700 annually. Standard setup is free. Scoped field participants do not add seat charges. Compare RingCentral’s current phone plans against the workflows and usage you need. Taxes and authorized additional usage can change the total.
Can we run both during a transition?
Yes. Most teams start Brody on one workflow, such as daily reports or bid coverage, on a new number or with forwarding while RingCentral keeps the main line. You move the main number only when every check passes, or you can keep both.
Will callers know Brody is an AI?
Yes. Brody says he is an AI assistant and who he works for at the start of every call. Any caller who asks for a person is transferred to the right PM, super or office user, or leaves a voicemail, and Brody never quotes prices or signs contracts.
Does Brody support emergency calling on office lines?
Yes. Office lines support emergency calling with the right location for each device. It is one of the checks that must pass before a main number moves.
